As one who’s been hacked several times — my wife’s email was just hacked the other day — I’m pretty alert to cybertheft.
But no matter how good your antivirus program is, if you open a suspect email, you make yourself vulnerable to Trojan horses that steal email and bank-access information.
The latest wrinkle in this ongoing cyberpiracy is called “Gameover.” The hackers send out emails that look like they’re from a bank or the Federal Reserve. Typically they ask for you to verify banking or personal information, but they’re just “phishing” for something to steal from you.

A new company says yes. CrimePush, available on iTunes today, is the latest in mobile technology to provide urban populations with fast, discrete, and intelligent safety assistance. After being held at gunpoint on the streets of Washington DC, co-founder Shayan Pahlevani thought of a way to conveniently help report and prevent crimes for the 21st century

interesting..but, if it can be anonymous...how many ghost hunts will the police go on as kids begin to "play" with this app?
